Cooper Extends Alty Stay

Altrincham have announced the news that defender Jake Cooper has extended his stay with the National League side, as confirmed via a statement on the club's website.

The 23-year-old has played a significant role at the back for Altrincham this season, and has remained as one of the club's key players since his arrival from Championship side Rotherham United.

Cooper has managed to contribute to three goals in 46 appearances since first joining Altrincham on loan and is now one of the first names on the club's team sheet.

Following news of his new deal, Cooper told the club's website...

"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract with the football club. Alty is a great place to be at the moment. The club is really going places and I'm really happy to be part of it. The gaffer, the lads, the fans, everyone is pulling in the right direction and it's great to be involved."

Writer's Opinion

Cooper has been a crucial part of Phil Parkinson's side and it is no surprise that he has opted to extend his stay with the National League side.

Hopefully, this news will provide Altrincham with the morale boost that they need in order to secure their play-off place.
