Aldershot Town Land League Two Forward

Aldershot Town have completed the signing of striker James Daly on loan for the remainder of the 2023./24 season, as confirmed via a statement on the club's website.

The 24-year-old has signed on loan from League Two side Harrogate Town for the remainder of the season, in a move that hasn't gone down well with Aldershot's rivals Woking, where Daly was a player for them as recently as last season.

Daly had made 14 appearances in all competitions for Harrogate Town this season, scoring once following his summer switch from Woking for an undisclosed fee, but has limited minutes for the League Two side so far.

Upon confirmation of the signing, Aldershot manager Tommy Widdrington stated...

“When I was informed James may be available, my ears pricked immediately. I’m delighted to add James to the group; I felt it was an opportunity to ramp up the competition in an already well-performing group of forwards.”

Writer's Opinion

Last season, Daly played a crucial role to help securing Woking a play-off place and once again I expect him to follow suit with the Shots and top off their excellent campaign so far.

Daly has now added EFL experience once again and will hopefully have the eagerness to kick on and secure the Shots a top seven finish.
